Hello, my lovelies! This is more of a notice than a post but it is just, if not more, important. My beautiful friend, Daisy, has a blog she wishes to share with you.
I met Daisy back in 2009 whilst holidaying with my family in Turkey. We were both gymnasts and spent our days in the sun tumbling around the hotel pool. Now, I’m at university in Bournemouth and she is studying paediatric nursing at Southampton! Daisy and I have been talking recently about mental health and how, unfortunately, she has suffered as well as I. It’s a very difficult truth to live with, but this wonderfully smart, talented and amazing young woman suffers from an eating disorder (ED) known as Anorexia Nervosa (Ana). Eating disorders warp the way you see yourself and can affect every aspect of your life. Luckily, Daisy has sought out the help she needs and is starting therapy this week! As part of her recovery, Daisy is writing a blog about her plights and delights as she works to get herself through ED. She agreed to let me share the blog in hopes that she can encourage others to get help and to provide support for those struggling too. I am incredibly proud of her and the courage she has shown.
Here is the link to this blog and be sure to give Daisy your full support! http://breakingupwithana.blogspot.co.uk/
